The Farmer Cluster met at Coldharbour Farm at an event organised with Will Fraser. The event was part of the launch of Habitat Regeneration – a venture with FGS Agri to provide ecological enhancement and offsetting work.
Will showed us how he has spearheaded arable reversion on the farm. He has restored and created new ponds and is already being rewarded with nesting skylarks and great crested newts in the new ponds.
On the day, we also heard from Sarah Harrington-James of the Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership, about pond creation grants. Charlie Chantler, from Natural England also spoke to the cluster about Sustainable Farming Incentives.
