Skippy Scout Update

Skippy Scout has now taken off! Skippy Scout is a decision-making tool that utilises a drone to take high resolution photos of a field, which is then automatically compiled into a field report. During the training day, a drone was given to each of the farmers in the trial and this was followed by a demonstration of how it can be used. It was impressive to see how quickly points can be set in the field for the drone to navigate to and take images. Southern Water is hoping this trial will be a great way to closely monitor weed burden and implement more efficient management.
