On 26th May we held a farmer cluster meeting and nightingale walk that was hosted by Mike and Jan Bax at Moat Farm. It was great to hear from KWT Consultancy’s ecologist Chas Holt about this wonderful bird and how his surveys in the Upper Beult are identifying key habitats.

The start of the year has seen many discussions on Nature-based Solutions, with questions on what counts as a Nature-based Solution, can they be delivered alongside food production and who will want to pay for these interventions?

4th February 2021, several of the cluster met at Coldharbour Farm to brush up on their bird ID skills to kick start the Big Farmland Bird Count 2021.
The Upper Beult Farmer Cluster brings farmers together to help shape and support more sustainable farming. Supported by Kent Wildlife Trust and Southern Water, the cluster encourages farmer-to-farmer learning and development by sharing skills, knowledge and resources.
